Hydrocodes have been historically developed to address non-linear large deformation problems where strength effects are negligible; research subjects included advection schemes, interface reconstruction algorithms, stability analysis, and treatment of multimaterial cells. In more recent years, due to the need of solving a greater class of problems, researchers enhanced these methods to include strength, damage, and contact interactions. The goal of this minisymposium is to gather the state of the art solutions for hydrocodes. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

*advection schemes

*interface reconstruction algorithms

*closure/material models for multimaterial (mixed) cells

*modeling contacts

*multimaterial Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian methods

*Eulerian methods
