Multiscale Modeling and Characterization of Multiphysics for Nano, Bio and Smart Materials
This mini-symposium will address the modeling, simulation and testing of physical phenomena at atomic scale, continuum scale or across various multiple length/time scales. In particular, this mini-symposium is devoted to computational and experimental investigations of multiscale and/or multiphysics problems, especially thermo-mechanical coupling phenomena. Contributions from researchers in the fields of solid/fluid mechanics, material science/engineering are cordially invited.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
* Computational solid mechanics
* Fluid-structure interaction
* Biomechanics and biomaterials
* Shape memory materials, nanocomposites and smart materials
* Thermo-Mechanical coupling
* Microcontinuum theories
* Electromagnetic effects
* Heat transfer at nano/micr0/meso scales
* Visco-Elasticity and Visco-Plasticity
